Dr. Staffan Fredricsson co-founded Luxcom, Inc., a California manufacturer of multimedia networking equipment in 1984, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. He has over 20 years’ experience in the communications industry, involving the development, marketing, and general management of computer communications as well as telecommunications products. Prior to founding Luxcom, Staffan was with Hewlett-Packard, TRW, and L. M. Ericsson (Stockholm, Sweden). He is currently a member of the Multimedia Communications Forum (MMCF), where he chairs the Quality of Service Working Group. Staffan began his career at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology where he earned MSEE and Ph.D. degrees. Ms. Christine Perey is a principal of PEREY Communications & Consulting in Placerville, California. The firm provides technology and market research on networked multimedia solutions for business clients and publications. Her analyses serve companies in the multimedia development, peripheral, and distribution industries. Previously, Ms. Perey founded and published The QuickTime Forum, a newsletter for multimedia developers. Currently, Ms. Perey is a participant in the Multimedia Communications Forum’s Market Development Subcommittee and coordinates media relations activities for the Forum.
